What is a Journal?
A Journal is a project you can create on Leap Second for a special occasion, milestone, or event. Let's say you are about to go on vacation: You can make a Journal for that trip, name it as you wish, and start adding your pictures and videos. With Leap Second Pro, you can invite people to collaborate on your Journals! All your invitees will be able to share content and create memories together.
Is Leap Second free?
Yes! Leap Second is 100% free to use. You can create Journals, upload unlimited daily Entries, and download or share the content to your favorite social media apps for free.
Is Leap Second a Social Media Platform?
Leap Second is a video journal tool for capturing your life daily. Whether you share it or keep it for yourself is up to you!

How do I record?
The record button is in the bottom middle of the screen. Hold it to record. When you release the recording button, the editing screen will open. In the editing screen, you can then scroll to select the second you want to post and confirm it by tapping Trim.
What does the Catch-Up button do?
Were you too busy being the highly VIP personality you are and forgot to do a reel yesterday? Or maybe you forgot to update your Journal. Worry not! Catch-up is here to help you.
Catch-up is a feature that allows you to easily update your Journal Entries in bulk by selecting a day. Upon selection, it automatically updates the Journal with pictures and the first second of each video created on that day from the device's gallery. It helps you fill in any gaps by associating existing media with specific days they were created.
You can browse and update the missing Entries up to the past 30 days.
Can I upload music to my reels?
Adding music or importing media to your Journals or reels, like older pictures and videos in your device or iCloud account, is a Pro feature.
How do I log into Leap Second?
If you don't log in during onboarding, Leap Second will create an Anonymous Account, and logging into a pre-existing account won't be possible.
Go to your Leap Second Settings, select Anonymous Account, and delete it. Start the process and log in during onboarding
What's the difference between Leap Second and Leap Second Pro?
With Leap Second Pro, you get an ad-free experience without
watermarks and automatic iCloud backup. Is that it? Of course not! You also get the following features:

What's the difference between Catch-Up and Media Import?
Catch-Up allows you to update Journal Entries with pictures and videos from your device's gallery by associating existing media with specific days they were created within a 30-day timeframe, Media Import, available for Leap Second Pro users, enables uploading any content on any day without creation date restrictions.
