If you are getting the error "Cannot Decode" while exporting a Journal, try exporting it in sections to locate and remove it or fix the Entry that's causing the issue:

  1. Identify the problematic Entries

    1. Export progress percentage: Pay attention to the moment you get the error. It will help you identify where's the Entry that's triggering the error.

      1. If you get the error "Cannot Decode" on 50% of Export progress, you know the problematic Entries are in the second half of your Journal.

    2. Export the first and last 20 Entries: This helps identify if the problematic Entry is in the first or last half of the Journal.

    3. Export smaller sections (months or weeks) until you locate the problematic clip.

  2. Remove the problematic clip

    1. Once you locate the problematic Entry, remove it from the Journal.

By exporting the Journal in sections and removing the problematic Entry, you can successfully export your Journal without any issues.
